I knew Dorothy as an energetic and feisty individual. She had a quick wit and sharp sense of humor, coupled with a strong work ethic to which she credited to her family whom she loved dearly.
Her life was dedicated to the people of the Greater New Haven community and employers and staff at both the Saint Raphael’s Healthcare System and Yale New Haven Healthcare System.
I first met her as a student at Gateway Community College, then again while working at SRHS and YNHS. I was amused when she bought a house next door to me years later. She was a good person, a great neighbor and truly loved gardening. She will be greatly missed by many.
I am deeply saddened to hear about Dorothy’s passing. We worked together for many years at the Hospital of Saint Raphael. Dorothy embodied the very essence of compassion and dignity. She was serious about the work but always had time for a smile and laugh. She has left an indelible mark and the world is a better place for having had Dorothy in it. She will most certainly be missed. My hope for her family is that your treasured memories together bring you comfort during this time of sadness.
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Dorothy.
We were friends from the WCC and then neighbors. She was fun loving, a devoted daughter, witty, sassy and a loyal friend. The world was a better place with her in it.
I will always remember her and treasure our memories.
Our deepest sympathy to her family.
