Douglas P. Montano, 78, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 25th, 2021, at Yale-New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to the late Linda M. Ventriglio Montano. Douglas was born in New Haven on March 22nd, 1943 and was the son of the late Pasquale and Angelina Pantaleo Montano. Doug attended Quinnipiac University and was the owner/ operator of Modern Cigarettes, Yale Amusements and Montano Brothers Amusements for many years until his retirement. Doug enjoyed playing cards and taking frequent trips to the casino. Father of Michelle (John) Pisano and Gina (Darrell) Hackett. Grandfather of Angelica (Bryan) Demers, Francesca and John Pisano. Great Grandfather of Dominic and Isabella Demers.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday, November 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Hamden Wednesday morning, Dec. 1st at 11:00. Entombment will follow in the All Saints Mausoleum.

I am sorry to hear of the passing of my friend Doug Montano. We were friends since high school. He was one of the most caring and kind people one could ever meet. He’ll be missed.
