Dustin Nelson Cecarelli, 15, of Northford passed away on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in New Haven on January 6, 2008, he was the son of Jenna Cecarelli and the late Christian Schanz. Dustin was a great lover of music and writing. He could often be seen journaling in one of his many notebooks. He enjoyed baseball, basketball and riding his bike. Grandson of Georgene Cecarelli, Eve Schanz and the late Nelson Cecarelli. Nephew of Crystal Schanz and the late Nelson Cecarelli, Jr. Great-Nephew of Bonnie Cecarelli, Lee Iacucci (Patty), Garett Iacucci (Debbie) and Valerie Schanz. Also survived by his special cousin Isabella “Izzy” Schanz.
Dustin’s family would like to thank family and friends for the outpouring of support and sympathy. No services will be conducted at this time. A celebration of Dustin’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers, Big Sister, 2470 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06605.
