Anthony “Bud” Leo Ricciardelli, 86, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of sixty years to Marie “Micki” Cangiano Ricciardelli.  Bud was born in New Haven on January 18, 1929; son of the late Leo and Lillian Cappello Ricciardelli; was a graduate of Hillhouse High School; attended Arnold College and served his country faithfully in the US Army during the Korean war.  Bud was the co-owner of Montowese Meats for many years, won many athletic awards in his younger years for track, football, basketball, baseball and soccer.  He was an avid Mets, Knicks and NY Giants fan.  Bud was fun loving and could be remembered for the many times he wore costumes at parties.   Father of Leonard (Sharon) Ricciardelli, Richard Ricciardelli and Julie (Robert) Burdon.  Brother of Ralph (Rose) Ricciardelli.  Also survived by five loving grandchildren, Alayna and Alex Ricciardelli, Erica, Meghan and Renee Burdon; also many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We remember him for being a loving, devoted husband and father who always put the needs of his family first.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Monday morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in All Saints Cemetery.  There will be no visiting hours.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Macular Degeneration Foundation c/o Yale School of Medicine, 40 Temple Street, New Haven, CT  06510. The North Haven Funeral  Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with arrangements.
