Paul V. Falcigno, 85, of Northford, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2014 at the Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Theresa D’Eugenio Falcigno. Born in New Haven on April 24, 1929; son of the late Vincent and Philomena Guanieri Falcigno. A first generation Italian American, Paul spent his youth as an active member and counselor of the Boy Scouts. At 20 he married the love of his life Theresa with whom he recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. Paul was a serial entrepreneur who sold chickens, cookies, and eventually started a successful third generation insurance company now known as the Falcigno Group. During all of this, Paul raised three children and found respite on Franklin Pierce Lake in New Hampshire. Paul, like any good Italian, loved Frank Sinatra, heaping bowls of macaroni, and card games over coffee and cannolis. Paul loved his family and had an uncanny ability to make friends where ever he went. Father of Paula (Thomas) Luby, Vincent (Joan) Falcigno, and Mary Jo (Jason) Philhower. Grandfather of Elizabeth, Caroline, and Katherine Luby, Maegan Costello, Emily Falcigno, Paul (Kelly) Falcigno and Katie (Tom) Gregory, Hannah and Luke Ferraro-Philhower. Great-grandfather of Caitlin, Aiden, Abigail Costello, V.Grant and Phillip Falcigno. Predeceased by his brother Joseph Falcigno. Paul also leaves behind many cherished lifelong friends.
His funeral procession will be leaving the North Haven Funeral Home 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Monica’s Church at 10am. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Boy Scouts of America 60 Wellington Rd. Milford, CT 06461.

Dear Falcigno Family,
It was an honor to have known Paul these past 8 years, both as a client, as a friend, and professional insurance collegue. He was sincere, honest, and genuine to the core. He was in my office just before Thankgiving and we had a chance to catch up on the past year's trials and tribulations. Always with a smile, and always with grace, he wished me a good holiday and went on his way. May he rest in peace and till we see each other again, my friend. My deepest condolences to the entire Falcigno Family.
