Anna S. DeMatteo Pirovane, 88, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the MidState Medical Center, Meriden with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Pirovane. Anna was born in Hamden on February 19, 1928; daughter of the late Frank and Gilberta Josephine Camera DeMatteo; after graduation from Stone Business College in New Haven, she had twelve years’ experience in business office administration at U.S.D.A. and Hamden Town Planning and Zoning Commission before becoming a homemaker. Mother of Anne G. (Mark) Nofsinger, Frank M. and Robert J. Pirovane. Grandmother of Hannah Nofsinger. Predeceased by a sister Rita DeMatteo.
Private funeral services have been entrusted the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.

Aunt Anne was a beautiful woman totally devoted to her family. She always visited new babies born into the family. She adored her children and her granddaughter. I remember Aunt Anne being very proud of cooking all 3 meals for her family every day! RIP Aunt Anne.
Frank, Bob and Anne, we're so sorry to hear about Aunt Anne passing away. There are so many fond memories of all of us getting together with you and your parents at Noni's when we were young. I remember your mom as kind, patient and loving and I know the memories of her will endure.
