Frank A. Casucci Jr. of East Haven, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2016.  He was born on October 3, 1925 in Brooklyn and grew up in Mt Vernon, NY. Frank was the youngest of five children.  He married Odessa C. deRose Leggat on January 6, 1963. Frank and Odessa spent more than 52 years together and enjoyed many years of happy retirement. He loved spending time with family, watching sports and going to the gym. Frank was a 1944 graduate of A. B. Davis High School, in MT. Vernon, where he was outstanding in football, basketball and baseball. Following his service in the US Navy during WWII, Frank continued his education, graduating from NYU in 1949. He played varsity basketball and baseball while at NYU. During this time Frank played semi-pro basketball under the name of Rocky Colella on the Branca All Stars enjoying many seasons sharpening his skills and making lifelong friends.  For more than 20 years Frank volunteered at Augusta National for the Masters Golf Tournament. He enjoyed watching, analyzing and playing golf throughout the years.  He worked as personnel director for most of his career, retiring from Kulka Electronics of Mt. Vernon. Frank is survived by his children, Denise Leggat Greening, Virginia Leggat Donner and Frank A. Casucci III.  He will be missed by his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his eldest brother Americo J. Casucci.

The family extends a warm invitation to join them at a Mass Thursday morning at 11 am, Our Lady of Pompeii Church. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers should friends desire, donations be made to Colin’s Crew, PO Box 4097, Wallingford, CT 06492.
