Virginia “Ginger” Marie Pucillo Riordan, 64, of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on Monday November 23, 2015 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 32 years to Edward R. Riordan. Ginger was born in New Haven on July 31, 1951; daughter of Carmel Lotto Pucillo and the late Anthony Pucillo; obtained her Bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph College, her Master’s degree and 6th Year from Southern Connecticut State University. Ginger was a teacher for the Ansonia School System for many years and for a short time for the Seymour School System. She was devoted to her family whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Christopher J. Riordan (Kelley A. Garrington) and Kathleen M. Furino (James A. Furino). Sister of Anthony Pucillo, Jr.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 81 Center Road, Woodbridge at 11:00 am Friday to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal services immediately following in St. Lawrence Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Smilow Cancer Hospital, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven CT 06508
