Edith Pannella Santacroce, 96, formerly of Luciani Road, Woodbridge, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at Branford Hills Health Care Center, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Mariano Santacroce. Edith was born in Hamden on February 11, 1920; daughter of the late Rocco and Dolores DeStefano Pannella and was the owner/operator of M&M Fuel of Woodbridge. Mother of Martin D. (Angela) Santacroce, Paul R. (Marie) Santacroce, William M. Santacroce and the late Robert V. Santacroce. Also survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings Carl Pannella, Mary Baldino, Marie Pisano, Salvatore and Angelo Pannella.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Tuesday morning at 9:30. Family and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in Eastside Cemetery.
Edith you were a great woman . That tough persona was and act. I will miss you .

My sincerest condolances to the family. I met Edith years ago while a business person in the Woodbridge area as the owner of Auto Spa of Woodbridge. She was a very kind and sweet woman. May she rest in eternal peace.
