Edward “Teddy” DeCrosta, 58, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31st, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on December 22nd, 1964, he was the son of the late George M. DeCrosta and Carol A. Jobe Suprono. Teddy earned a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts from Johnson and Wales University, Rhode Island, and had worked as a Certified Executive Chef his entire life. He also enjoyed gardening, working out and staying fit, riding his Harley, and going to his beach house in Lakeville, Massachusetts. He is survived by his children Nicole DeCrosta Vetiac (Danzel), Emma DeCrosta, and Nicholas Lozowski; brothers Michael and David DeCrosta; sister Cynthia DeCrosta Hoernle (Frederic); granddaughter Aurora, and many cherished family and friends.
The visiting hours will be Saturday, September 9th from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A catholic parlor service will be conducted at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

.. I am devastated and shocked learning about Ted, he worked for me in the 90’s (he was so overqualified) he had the greatest smile and was an all around great person. My prayers to Ted’s entire family. I hope the peace he needed he has found. This is such a great loss for all that knew and loved him. Be happy my friend. You are already missed.
