Edward William de Langley Torrence, Eddie and Eggy to his friends and family, age 24, unexpectedly left this realm on Sunday, August 6th, 2017. He grew up in Woodbridge on his family farm. He was passionate about music, computers, engineering and driving. He composed electronic music, produced videos and loved to play piano. He and his brother Leland had many adventures together travelling the world, and especially loved to ski. He was most happy when helping his Mother with the family pets, and taking “walk abouts” driving with his Father. He was a pure spirit who mentored and cared for all those he encountered. He found great strength in his relationships with friends and family, and now enjoys the peace he hoped all others would find. He is survived by his parents Laura M. and Leland R. S. Torrence, his brother Leland Jr. and his grandmother Lorraine Mirando of Woodbridge, CT and his grandmother Nikki Torrence Lindberg of Essex, CT.
Friends may call at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Thursday August 10th between 3:00 to 5:00pm. In honor of his love of animals, donations may be made to One Big Dog, 135 Bradley Road, Woodbridge, CT 06525. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family

I am so sorry for your loss, I send you and your family hugs a prayer!
I held Eggie in my arms when he was a baby and absentmindedly fed him his first solid food. From a distance, I watched him grow up and hoped for great things for him.
His tragic and untimely passing leaves a void that will never be filled. My heart goes out to you, Laura, Leland, young Leland, Lorraine and all the other members of Eggie’s family. With love and deepest sympathy, Ann
We are all extremely sorry. Laura, Leland, and your family will be in our prayers.

Laura, Leland, Leland, Jr., Please know that I have thought of little else since August, 6. Know that I am here for you, in spirit, every minute of every day. Eddie was such a beautiful person. Our entire family is grieving with you. Edward Torrence always with us, forever.
So sorry to hear this incredibly sad news. Our Love and prayers go out to all of you.
Dear Family. I am very sorry to read of the death of Edward. Life should not end at such a young age. Be strong and carry on. That is what he would have wanted for you.
Please accept my most sincere condolences. Right now, when your loss is so fresh, it may be difficult for you to imagine that this pain will ever go away. But in time, the blessing of God’s unfailing love will soften the hurt your’re feeling and bring your heart the peace, comfort, and hope that it needs to heal. Revelation 21:4 tells us that soon everything that causes us pain including death, will be gone forever. We also have the hope of our loved ones being resurrected to life, here on earth, as Acts 24:15 tells us. I do hope you find comfort in this.
