Robert Balocki, 59, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Waterbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Rita Edwards Balocki. Born in New Britain on December 5, 1954; son of the late Robert and Laverne DelFavero Balocki. He had worked for the city of New Britain as a Water Utility Worker for over 30 years and was a member of the Elks Lodge # 957 in New Britain. Brother of Marie Janelle. Brother-in-law of Helen (Gene) Straussman. Uncle of Robert, Timothy and Greg Janelle, Thomas Straussman and Lee-Ann Sica. Great-Uncle of Evan and Nicholas Sica and Samantha Straussman.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave., Monday morning at 9:30. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Barnabas Church at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr. #3, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
