Felice “Al” Pacelli, 89, of Wallingford formally of North Haven passed away peacefully on February 9, 2015 at the Midstate Medical Center with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Nancy Sperandeo Pacelli for 63 years. Al was born in New Haven on November 29, 1925; son of the late Giuseppe and Laura DiFabio Pacelli; served his country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Hartford and a Master’s degree from the former Quinnipiac College, and had worked as a programmer for Associated Spring of Bristol for many years until his retirement. Al was an avid reader and was a member of the Wallingford Senior Center. Father of F. Albert Pacelli, Jr. and his wife Beth. Grandfather of Alex and Laura Pacelli. Predeceased by his brother Gino Pacelli.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Saturday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in The Most Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 AM. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. 1-91 Tech Ctr. #3, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
