Eleanor Frances Antonucci, 94, of North Haven, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael Campus. She was born in New Haven on September 30, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Filomena Piscitelli Antonucci. Eleanor had worked as a seamstress at Yale New Haven Hospital and at various factories for many years. She was a member of the North Haven Senior Center. Eleanor enjoyed shopping, reading, doing puzzles, listening to music, and watching old movies and musicals. One of Eleanor’s greatest joys was collecting dolls and teddy bears, and she’d sew outfits for them using her many skills. Eleanor and her beautiful smile will be dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved sister Anna D’Agostino of North Haven and her late brother Angelo Antonucci. She is also survived by her nephews Mark (Kathy) D’Agostino, David D’Agostino, Richard (Paula) Antonucci, and nieces Donna Wilson, and Angela Antonucci, and many great nieces, great nephews, and a great-great nephew.
The visiting hours will be on Tuesday morning, April 25th from 10:00 to 11:30 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12 noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
