Elizabeth A. Pesticci Livieri, 83, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to the late Henry M. Livieri. Elizabeth was born in New Haven on November 26, 1937 and was the daughter of the late James and Mary Clark Pesticci. Mother of Lauren Rowen (Steve), Linda Livieri (Craig Davis) and the late Lisa Livieri Miller. Also survived by Paul, Wendy and Gabi Pesticci, her son-in-law William Miller, and all of her many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her sister Mary Kranich (and her husband William Kranich). Liz worked as the Director of Food Services for the Town of Hamden for many years until her retirement. Liz enjoyed family time most of all, and loved cooking and entertaining for annual holiday parties with family and friends, and for many summer parties by the pool at Newcastle. She and her husband also created a second home for one and all in Wilmington, Vermont. No one was a stranger to Liz – all were welcome, day or night. Above all else, Liz relished spending time with her family who she loved so dearly and protected unconditionally. She was a generous soul with a gentle touch. She was the model of strength throughout her life and fought fearlessly against all odds until her last breath. She will be truly missed but forever in our hearts.
The visiting hours will be Tuesday morning, Jan.19th from 9:30 to 11:30 at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12 noon. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamden. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford 06405
