Elizabeth Mary Hibson Ottens, 48, of Wallingford passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 25 years to Robert Ottens, Sr. Elizabeth was born in New Haven on November 24, 1969 and was the daughter of Margaret “Peggy” Longyear Hibson and the late Thomas Hibson. She had worked as a secretary for Birth to Three. Elizabeth enjoyed entertaining, a good conversation, loved spending time in New Hampshire with her special friends and family, was a devoted wife and mother. Mother of Robert “R.J.” Ottens, Jr. and Emily Ottens. Sister of Thomas Hibson Jr. and Diane Grenfell.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford on THURSDAY MARCH 22ND morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be TUESDAY MARCH 20TH from 4 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. I am sorry to read of the passing of your loved one, Elizabeth. She will be missed. You have loss someone very close to you in death, you are experiencing one of life’s most painful experiences. Our Heavenly Father understands your grief, more than that he can undo the results of death. He promises at Isaiah 25:8 ,”He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” He will accomplish this by means of his Kingdom in which we pray for in the Lord’s Prayer.
