Eric Edward Scherr, 34, of Meriden, formerly of Guilford, passed away on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at the Midstate Medical Center, Meriden with his family and friends by his side. He was born in New Haven on August 22, 1982; son of Janet Thompson Scherr and the late Dr. Edward Scherr. Eric was a major music fan and the greatest joys in his life were good food, good music and his family. Brother of Jandie (Arthur) McSweet. Grandson of Jacqueline McIntyre. Half-brother of Pamela Krick, Peter and Tony Scherr.
Private funeral services have been entrusted to the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Autism Association, One Park Avenue, Suite 1, Portsmouth, RI 02871 or the Connecticut M.S. Society, Connecticut Chapter, 659 Tower Ave., First Floor, Hartford, CT 06112.
