Ernest A. Tuscano, 89, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15th, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital/ St. Raphaels Campus.  He was the beloved husband of Jane Ann Doherty Tuscano and they would have been married 68 years this May.  Ernest was born in New Haven on November 28th, 1934, and was the son of the late Albert and Louise Delfino Tuscano. He was a 1953 graduate of Boardman Trade School and served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army, stationed in Hamburg, Germany, alongside Elvis Presley. Ernest worked as a Mill Operator for United Aluminum, North Haven until his retirement.  He was an avid fisherman, a carpenter, but most of all, Ernest enjoyed spending time with his family who he loved unconditionally. Father of Louise Ann Tuscano (Lombardi), Lisa Jane Tuscano (Luna) and Albert Ernest Tuscano. Father -in-law of Jorge Luna and Robert Lombardi. Loving grandfather of Faith Anne and Elizabeth Anne Tuscano, and Krystal Angelica Luna. Brother of Jean Tuscano MacKinnon and the late Bridget Tuscano DeStefano.

The visiting hours will be Monday, April 22nd from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven on Tuesday morning, April 23rd at 9:30.
