Eunice Gherlone Betta, 97, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Regency House, Wallingford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late John Betta for 62 years until his passing. Eunice was born in North Haven on June 4, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Madeline Cerrato Gherlone. Her great enjoyment was agriculture. Mother of John (Jack) Betta, Jr. and his wife Linda, Audrey Betta and her husband Anthony Dattilo. Grandmother of Zachary Betta. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her siblings, Richard and Louis Gherlone, Carmelina Cox, Michelina Tranquilli, Theresa Frate, Mary Franco and Virginia Barnick.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 11:30. Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 11:00. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Barnabas Church at 11:30. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family

Jack and Audrey sorry to hear of your moms passing. I will never forget the time my Mom, your Mom and Rose talked me into taking them to Vermont for the weekend. I remember it like yesterday. The all night card games. It was a lot of fun.
