Eva Lauteri, 87, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Yale-New Haven Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in New Haven on February 21, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Peter and Barbara Gasperini Lauteri. Eva graduated from Hillhouse High School and worked for Southern New England Telephone Company for over 40 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Eva was quite the world traveler and was an avid collector of dolls and memorabilia. She enjoyed working out at the gym. Beloved sister of Elisa Ferriolo and the late Mary Ryan. Dearest aunt of Patricia Ryan (William), Jeremiah Ryan, Barbara Baillie (Mark), Elaine Longobardi (Neil), Charles Ferriolo, Sr., Susan Johnson (Paul). Also survived by many great nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family and will be greatly missed.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Wednesday morning, Feb. 17th at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery. (masks and social distancing strictly required for all services) In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Food Bank or a charity of one’s choice.
Aunt Eva, you were so loved and we all miss you so very much. We cherish each memory you made with us, and are very thankful to have had you in our lives as long as we all did. Words cannot express our loss and sadness to lose you.
