Evelyn Blanche Barone Breuler, 99, of Wallingford, formerly of Lincoln Street, North Haven passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25th, 2021 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of 75 years to George H. Breuler, Sr. Evelyn was born in West Haven on November 2, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Blanche LeClair Barone. She had worked for the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station for the State of Connecticut for 13 years until her retirement. She was a former member of the North Haven Garden Club and the Junior West End Club. Evelyn was a member of the St. Barnabas Womens Club and was corresponding secretary for the Connecticut State Employees Association. Evelyn loved and was excellent at cooking and baking. She leaves her daughters, Mary Ellen Braunstein and Paula Regan; a son Steven J. Breuler, her son-in-law Irwin. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son George H. Breuler, Jr. and a brother Joseph Barone.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven on Friday, Oct. 29th at 12 noon to attend a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Murray/Reynolds Post #76 of North Haven or the North Haven Historical Society. Grammy I’m truly going to miss you, you lit up every room you walked in with your beautiful smile. You lived a wonderful and fulfilled life nobody could ever replace you. My condolences go to Goerge Breuler (Papa) Paula Regan, Steven Breuler, Maryellen Braunstein and to the rest of our family you all being there for her the last few weeks that she had was priceless you all gave her peace and the happiness she needed to let go and that’s the best gift ever. I love you Grammy now and forever.
