Evelyn Valentin, 56, of North Haven passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at the Regency House, Wallingford surrounded by her family. She was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico on September 27, 1960; daughter of the late Catalino Valentin and Maria E. Santiago Velez; she obtained a Bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus College; had worked as a Bankruptcy Analyst at the US Trustees Office for over 20 years; was an active member of the Iglesia Bautista Hispana; enjoyed gardening, dancing, traveling, walking, tennis and spending time with her family; was a very giving person who volunteered at the Red Cross. Mother of Christopher L. and Anthony E. Bonilla. Sister of Jorge E. (Olga) Valentin, Norma I. Valentin, Iris (Israel) Cordero, Mario (Michael J. Sanders) Valentin and Jose A. Otero. Also survived by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the entire staff at Regency House for their compassion and embrace toward Evelyn.  

 A funeral service will be conducted in Third Star of Jacob Church, 204 Peck St. New Haven on Friday morning starting at 10:00 to 11:30 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Thursday from 4 to 9 pm in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.
