Martin Lewis Meshako, born November 12, 1920, died on June 5, 2015. Predeceased by his parents, John and Vera Meshako, his loving wife Margaret Meshako, and his son, David Martin Meshako. Martin was the father of Doris Mary Meshako, of Wausau, WI. And Margaret Elizabeth Duke of Bethany CT. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He served as a Private in the Army Air Corps during World War II, worked for Sikorsky Aircraft, and started a piano tuning business in 1957, working until his 93rd year. He enjoyed playing piano, drawing and photography. He remained a faithful Christian for his entire life, and his family knows that he has been welcomed into the gates of Heaven.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate “Marty’s” life on Saturday June 13th at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue at 11:00 am. The visiting hours will be from 10:00 until time of service. Interment will follow with full military honors in Montowese Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. I-91 Tech Ctr. #3 Rocky Hill, Connecticut 06067.

Our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Marty's family. We so enjoyed knowing him and having him as a neighbor. He made this a very special neighborhood for our children to grow up in and he will be greatly missed.

A really great guy. My uncle Marty — was always there when you needed him. A clever man whom I much respected. Will miss you. You had a great life and had a positive influence on those who knew you. Always remember he had a bottle of Concord Grape Manichewicz in the refrigerator for “medicinal purposes only.” Will miss you.
