Theodore Andrew Schwarz, 94, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at the VAMC, West Haven. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary J. Dickens Schwarz. Theodore was born in New York City, NY on November 8, 1921; son of the late Theodore and Hedwig Bayer Schwarz; served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WWII; had worked for Underwriters Laboratories for 40 years until retiring as a U L Inspector; was a member of the VFW, a stamp collector and enjoyed spending time with his family. Father of Barbara (Robert) Scheidecker. Grandfather of Linda (William) Tosetti, Lisa M. Volpe and the late Robert Scheidecker. Great- Grandfather of Lisa (Christopher) Thorpe, Kristen (James) Mazziotti, Marissa and Jenna Volpe. Great-Great-Grandfather of Jacob Patrick Mace, James & Sara Mazziotti, Tyler & Joshua Thorpe.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:00 with the Rev. Scott Morrow officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 until time of service. Interment with full military honors will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery.
