Dawn Mary Nolan Wordie, 53, of Palm Coast, FL formerly of West Haven passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 28, 2015 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast, FL with her family by her side. Dawn was born in New Haven on November 26, 1961; beloved daughter of Retired Hamden Police Chief Robert F. Nolan and Shirley Matressa Nolan of North Haven. Dawn was attending Daytona University, was working at Bob Evan’s Restaurant in Palm Coast, FL, and loved the beach, water skiing and reading. Loving mother of Robert Pesapane of Philadelphia, PA, Eliscia Pesapane of St. Augustine, FL and Haley Wordie of Palm Coast, FL. Beloved grandmother of Gage Louis Colon. Beloved sister of Robyn Nolan of Hartford. Loving niece of Jane Kowaleski of Wallingford and Dorothy Rubino of Palm Coast, FL.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Thursday morning, June 25th at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Therese Church at 11:00am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Looking Forward c/o Yale New Haven Hospital, Office of Development, P.O. Box 1849, New Haven, CT 06508.

I am very sorry for your loss. Although I did not know your loved one personally, I hope knowing that they are in our loving heavenly Father's memory will bring your family comfort during this difficult time. Very soon now we can look forward to God's promise at a Revelation 21:4: "… Death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain be anymore, the former thing have passed away."

When we found out that Dawn had past on we had all the memories of years pass. We all had a fun in Maine and in Northford. She used to baby sit for our children and Jake taught her how to water ski. Our Hearts were very heavy when we heard the news of her passing we will always have our memories of the years we were close friends.
