Florence F. Brancato Pansetti, 92, of North Haven, formerly of Hamden, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice of Branford. She was the beloved wife of 52 years to the late Mendes Pansetti. Florence was born in Wallingford on December 18, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Rosa DiCarlo Brancato. Florence and her late husband were the owners of the former Carmel Gardens of Hamden which they operated with excellent creativity and passion for 40 years. She was an avid stenographer in her earlier years. Mother of Donna (Burton) Swiantek and Carla (Luciano) Salvatore. Grandmother of Gregory Swiantek, Melissa Milano, Sergio (Meghan) and Stefano (Caitlin) Salvatore and the late Christopher Swiantek. Great grandmother of Sorella Salvatore, Nathan Milano, Remy Swiantek, Everly Salvatore and Kevin Milano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews . Predeceased by her siblings Carmen, Rose, Rosario, Salvatore and Mary.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 9:30. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 pm
I am oh so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful lady..I am sorry for all of us who were gifted with her company…we have lost the gift of her being with us…but we have not lost her presence.
I thought Fla was “the cats pajamas!” And I don’t know why a cat would have pajamas…or why it would be so great! Fla was the best!
