Frances Lipka Navarretta, 85, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the Masonicare Health Center, Wallingford with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 56 years to Pasquale F. Navarretta. Frances was born in New Haven on February 12, 1931; daughter of the late Joseph and Minnie Paleski Lipka; prior to her retirement she worked as the manager of Yale Credit Union; she found pleasure in cooking for family and friends but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. Mother of Nancy Navarretta (Calvin DeMarsilis), Susan Pavano (Richard) and Elizabeth Franco (Mark). Grandmother of Emma and Ethan Pavano, Olivia, Matteo and Luke Franco. Sister of Robert Lipka (Mary) and the late Joseph Lipka, Katherine Overly and Arthur Lipka. The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to all the nurses and staff at Masonicare for all the comfort and care they provided to Frances over the years.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Thursday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
