Frank Battiste, 76, of Wallingford, passed away on Saturday, June 12th, 2021. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy LeGrand Battiste who passed on April 2nd of this year. Frank was born in Waterbury on April 21, 1945 and was the son of the late Louis M. and Florence Marcotte Battiste. Frank worked for Star Distributors for over twenty years. He was a member of the Teamster Union Local #443. After leaving Star Distributors, Frank continued working in his union at the Stop & Shop warehouse until his retirement. He enjoyed playing darts and was a member of the New Haven and Midshore Dart Leagues. Frank also enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes with the New Haven Horseshoe League. He enjoyed spending time with his neighbor and friend Dolores. Frank was also there for his family and friends whenever they needed him and loved them all unconditionally. Father of Murray Battiste, and Marceline (Robert) Hansen. Grandfather of Blake and Matthew Battiste, Paige, and Payton Hansen. Brother of Louise Sepkowski, Michael Battiste, MaryAnn D’Agostino, Rosemary Amato and the late Joseph, Francis, and James Battiste. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be Thursday, June 17th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A catholic funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Friday morning, June 18th at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.

My forever friend. Nancy and I were best friends for over sixty years and Frank and I were friends over fifty years. God knew that you both belonged together. Beautiful people and I was blessed to have your family as a big part of my life. Celebrate your love together. I will miss our times together, but grateful for the years we had.
