Frank Henry Altieri, 89, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Dolores Hemstock Altieri. Frank was born in New Haven on December 26, 1928 and was the son of the late Angelo and Angelina Geremia Altieri. He served his country faithfully in the US Army during World War II. Frank had worked at National Lumber as a salesman for many years until his retirement. Father of Lisa Altieri, Susan Altieri and the late Frank Altieri. Grandfather of Kristine (Jeff) English and the late Nicholas Altieri. Great-grandfather of Angelina, Alyssa and Alex Altieri, Bryson and Ryonna English. Uncle of Debbie, Gary, Anthony, Bobby and Elisa Pelligrino. Predeceased by his sister Louise Pelligrino
The visiting hours will be on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. His funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 Saturday morning. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Therese Church, 555 Middletown Avenue, North Haven at 10:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
