Frank J. Rosano, 92, of North Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael Campus.  He was the beloved husband of 59 years to the late Lorraine Gambardella Rosano.  Frank was born in New Haven on March 25, 1929 and was the son of the late Frank and Antoinette Stana Rosano.  He served his country faithfully in the US Army.  Frank was the owner and operator of Rosano’s Shoe Store in Hamden, CT for 35 years with his brothers Guido and Libro. He enjoyed meeting new people and building relationships with every customer he served. He was a devoted member of St. Francis Cabrini Church and was always involved in anything the church needed. Frank was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.  He avidly followed sports, especially UCONN men and women’s basketball, New York Yankees, and the New York Giants. He loved the beach and taking long walks with his wife while the sun sets.  Spending time with family was one of Frank’s greatest joys, especially his grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally.  Beloved father of Annette Brenner (Jack), Frank Rosano (Basil Brown), Kathy Pomichter (Ray), Joseph Rosano (Catherine), Loriann Ouellette (Phil) and AnneMarie Karavas (Jeff).  Loving grandfather of Alyssa Brenner (fiancé Dale), Anna and Ellie Ouellette, Jeffrey and Madisen Karavas, Fiona Rosano and the late Jonathan Brenner.  Predeceased by his brothers Gino, Guido and Libro Rosano and his sister Kathryn “Dolly” Maresca.     

The visiting hours will be Wednesday, Jan. 12th from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  Family and friends are invited to go directly to Saint Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 57 Pond Hill Road, North Haven on Thursday morning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be privately held in All Saints Cemetery.
