Gilda J. Costa Grignano, 94, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14th, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late John Grignano, Sr. Born in Hamden on February 15, 1928, a daughter of the late Carlo and Anna Cosenza Costa. Gilda worked 19 years for Christoforo Brothers as a Bookkeeper and 10 years at the North Haven Middle School as a Library Clerk until her retirement. She was the mother of John (Phyllis) Grignano, Jr. and Carol (Joseph) Idone. Grandmother of Adam J. Idone. Sister of Josephine Burg. Predeceased by her granddaughter Erin Elizabeth Idone, a sister Anna Marie DeAngelis and a brother Carl Costa, Jr.

I am so sorry to hear of Gilda’s passing. I worked with her at the middle school.She was always kind, caring and willing to help others. She loved her family so much. She will be missed.
