It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Glenn Batter, a beloved father, devoted partner, and cherished friend.
Glenn was born on July 28th 1960 in New Haven, where he grew into a remarkable individual known for his generosity, passion, and unwavering love. A dedicated family man and friend to many, he leaves behind countless precious memories with those who loved him.
Throughout his life, Glenn touched the lives of those around him with his benevolent spirit and delicious meals. His love of food and travel and his ability to enjoy life to the fullest were a source of inspiration for all who knew him.
Glenn is survived by his loving partner, Donna Kay, his children Rachel Batter, Sarah Batter, son-in-law Hunter Wicker, nieces Keilah and Brittnie Batter, and a circle of family and friends who will forever cherish the time they shared with him. While we grieve the loss of such an extraordinary soul, we also celebrate the rich tapestry of a life well-lived.
A memorial service to honor and remember Glenn will be held on 12/16/2023 at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home 36 Washington Avenue at 11:00 AM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a cause close to Glenn’s heart.

We are so very sorry — what an incredible loss. I’ll never forget the old days teaching and hosting cultural dinners around the community. Glenn was instantly my friend and compadre in prepping and hosting these fabulous meals with our students. And of course, I love his children, too! We had so much fun together. I will always think of Glenn and smile. He is gone far too soon. Love and hugs to you all. ♥️♥️♥️
We had many good times at the pond and shooting range together along with Sydel, Rachel and Sarah.
Glenn shared a birthday with my brother Scott so we always celebrated both . RIP Glenn… My dad and Scott are ready to greet you and continue the party. Miss you!

I can’t express the sadness in my heart over Glenn’s passing. He was a wonderful, funny, loving person that you didn’t have to see everyday to treasure his friendship which lasted and deepened with time. Glenn was a blessing on this earth and may he rest in peace. My sympathies to his family and my they feel Gods’ comfort and love during this time.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by this news. Being cousins and only a year apart in age, Glenn and I forged a strong bond that lasted from early childhood right up until our final get together last fall. We lived in different countries but communicated regularly, had daughters roughly the same age and shared many passions including the splendid northern New England wilderness and football (even though he was a Fins fan and me a Pats fan). I will forever admire Glenn’s light hearted approach towards life as well as his warmth, generosity and infectious laugh. My sincerest condolences go out to Sarah, Rachel and Donna and all other family and friends. God bless!
Sorry for your loss He will be missed by all who knew Him
