Glenn E. Martin, 79, a resident of North Haven since 1953, passed away on Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021.  He married the “Love of his Life” Louise Copperthite Martin 50 years ago this past September 17th.  Glenn was born in New Haven on January 21, 1942 and was the son of the late Joseph P. and Erma Gianatti Martin.  He served his country faithfully in the US Army and had worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for W.I. Clark Company for many years until his retirement and could fix just about anything mechanical.  Glenn loved old cars and tractors; he owned, restored, and treasured his 1940 Ford Coupe. Extremely generous to loved ones and good friends, Glenn would go to the Guilford Monastery and donate food that was given to him by Cecceralli’s Farm to the nuns; he always enjoyed going there because he found it to be so peaceful. Glenn was a lover of all animals, especially cats.  He was the “best brother” to Marilyn Martin and had many good friends in North Haven that he would get together with.

At Glenn’s request, there will be no services.  Memorial contributions may be made to Fix and Feed North Haven, Inc., PO Box 253, North Haven, CT 06473, The Animal Haven, Inc., 89 Mill Rd., North Haven, CT 06473 or The American Cancer Society, PO Box 5027, Wallingford, CT 06492.  The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue have been entrusted with the arrangements.
