To Marianne and the entire Volpe family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. She was a wonderful woman. I remember her well from her days at North Haven high school and the Pine Grove neighborhood. All the students loved her so much. She did a great job, always very nice and had a great sense of humor, but there was no getting by her …she was tough when she had to be but always very loving. She always spoke with such love and affection for all of her children. She was a proud mama for sure!! I always admired her for raising such a large , loving family as a widow. God bless her!

My deepest condolences to Frank and all of the Volpe family as Gloria enters her new life in heaven. I will always remember Mrs. Volpe keeping NHHS safe when she patrolled those hallways. But mostly she is remembered as a wonderful Mom and Grandmother and the thread of the Volpe family. She has left a special legacy with her beautiful family.
Ciro and I want to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your mother. Sending our thoughts and prayers to your entire family.
I am so saddened for your loss. You mother was an amazing person, both a true trail-blazer and a ‘can do’ woman, who would always get the job done! She was more like a Mom, or Sister to everyone. While I had memories of my own from High School, there were a lot more stories from her years as a North Haven High School Warden, assisting the Principals with the interrogations and discipline. Over the years, my stepfather Donald Simens would share stories of various incidents they had faced. They closely worked side by side; Gloria always had his back and he always had hers. Don always said how much he relied on her and loved working with her, he always said that he had the utmost respect for her. My mother has also said what a big help and inspiration Gloria was to her, as we had 7 children in our family and Gloria knew those struggles well. She was very kind and compassionate when my mother later found herself divorced and trying to make ends meet, raising 7 children alone. Gloria was right there to help guide her and provide assistance. My heart goes out to each and every one of you – she loved all of you dearly and was so very proud of each of your accomplishments in life. Marlene, you are amazing and I am so blessed to have you as my friend. <>
We are so saddened by the loss of your mom. Know that so many are thinking of you, especially up here in Dover. The strength & support of your amazing super-sized family will get you through the next few days and the years ahead. Cherish all the fabulous memories, for those you have forever. With much love.
We are so sorry for the loss of your beloved mother. She was an amazing and strong woman who we adored getting to spend time with over the years. May your memories of her be a source of comfort at this sad time. We’re thinking of all of you and love you all very much.
How well I remember your Mom when she and my aunt Natalie DiCapua Marra were young and fancy free. I think it can be said that Gloria led the good life . My deepest sympathies.

You were a nice teacher. Great with me. R.I.P. My condolences to the Volpe family.
Gloria was an unforgettable lady, She had a great sense of humor, loved life, bingo, her friends and especially her family. May she rest in peace in the everlasting embrace of God.
So saddened to hear of Gloria’s passing. She was such a wonderful woman. She and my parents were such great friends. They had a very special bond together….They absolutely adored her . Gloria loved many things getting dressed up and going out even if it was just for a ride to get out, Bingo, but most importantly she loved her family and friends. The countless stories she would share. She will surely be missed. I will always remember her beautiful smile and her infectious laughter.
She was a very kind and beautiful woman Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this difficult time.
Frank and Family, so sorry for your loss.
My sincere condolences
Your friend Frank
