Gloria DelVecchio Esposito, 76, of East Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Joseph Esposito.  Gloria was born on September 22, 1945 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Czarniak DelVecchio.  She worked as an assistant director for St. Andrews Child Care Center in New Haven for 50 years, working there was one of Gloria’s greatest joys.  She made countless friends and developed close relationships with so many of her coworkers, especially Ursula, April, Lucia, and Dianna.  Gloria was an avid reader.  Beloved mother of Melissa (John) Baldino and Joseph (Kristen) Esposito.  Loving grandmother of Lauren and Lucy Baldino.  Also survived by her lifelong friends Sandy and Jim Lekas. Predeceased by her sister Dolores Perfetto.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and doctors at Yale SICU 6-1 for their care and compassion.

The visiting hours will be on Saturday morning March 19th in The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue from 8:30 to 10:30 am.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Pio of Pietrelcina at Our Lady of Pomeii Church, 355 Foxon Road, East Haven at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Read to Grow, 53 School Ground Road #3, Branford, CT 06405.
