Gloria Tancreti Guido, 93, a resident of North Haven since 1976 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the Arden House, Hamden with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of John Guido, Sr. Gloria was born in New Haven on December 11, 1922, daughter of the late Pasquale and Josephine Stana Tancreti; had worked for the former Edward T. Malley Company, New Haven until her retirement and was Past President of the Altar Society at St. Francis Church. Mother of Pasquale F. Guido and the late John Guido, Jr. Mother-in-law of Donna Guido and Janice Guido. Grandmother of Anthony (Brianna) Guido, Andrea (Peter) Yeskey, Marybeth (John) Madigan, John (Angela Pecoraro) Guido. Great-Grandmother of Thomas James (TJ) Guido, Kristin, Vincent F. and Ilina Guido. Sister of Leo (Helen) Tancreti and the late Mary Martin, Catherine Idone, Manuel, Mario and Harry Tancreti.
Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Friday morning at 10:30. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow in St. Barnabas Church at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in the All Saints Cemetery. I”m so glad I was able to attend your mom’s funeral mass today. I was so very touched when her grand daughter gave such a beautiful eulogy and that my Mother, Anna Friello, was remembered as a dear friend. My mother loved your mother very much and now I’m sure they are together praying for us all in heaven.
