Grace Hannah Caruso of Cheshire, born December 30, 2015, passed peacefully on June 4, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her parents and family. Grace will be eternally missed by her parents, Rachel and Scott Caruso, as well as her maternal grandparents, Donald and Debra Beckwith, and paternal grandparents, Richard and Diane Caruso. Grace will be forever loved and cherished by her aunts and uncles, Sarah (Beckwith) and Mario Pires, Abigail Beckwith and Kelly Ricciardi, and Lynn Caruso, as well as her cousins Ava and Olivia Pires.   Grace was loved by all who met her, touching everyone’s hearts with her sparkling blue eyes, infectious smile and contagious giggle. Grace’s bravery, resiliency and love for life were truly inspiring.  Grace and her parents had an incredible bond as she enjoyed precious moments, listening to them sing to her, reading her favorite books, and snuggling her close. Some of Grace’s proudest moments came from her constant motivation to learn new things.  Grace’s all too difficult fight against Leigh’s Disease, never weakened her positivity. Grace was provided with strength, support and love by her family, friends, doctors, nurses and therapists.  Great appreciation is dedicated to the Rumanoff family, Kids for Kids, and Webster Bank for their overwhelming support, as well as countless friends, coworkers and family for their generosity, help, and prayers.  Throughout her life, many referred to her as “Amazing Grace” because of her bravery, happiness, and love that she instilled in everyone. Grace will be in our hearts always.
