Harold L. Gabucci, 90, of Northford, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Arden House, Hamden. He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Terese “Terry” Marottolo Gabucci. Harold was born in West Haven on July 30, 1927 and was the son of the late Americo and Josephine Castiglione Gabucci. He served his country faithfully in the US Navy during WW II. Harold was the owner/operator of Gabucci Plaster & Drywall for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Wallingford Pigeon Club, the Marchegian Society and Sportsman Club. Father of Gina (Nancy) Gabucci, Mark (Joann) Gabucci and the late Harold Gabucci, Jr. Father-in-law of Debora Gabucci. Grandfather of Danielle Gabucci. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters Leona Zandri, Dorothy Acampora and his brother Ray Gabucci.
His funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue Saturday morning at 9:15. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church at 10:00. Interment with full military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The visiting hours will be on Friday from 5 to 8 pm. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489.
