Hector M. Nieves, 74, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospitals, Waterbury with his family by his side. He was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico on March 10, 1949 and was the son of the late Julio and Pascuala Lebron Nieves. Hector enjoyed listing to music. Brother of Julio Nieves Jr., Luz M. Gaviria, and the late Luz Nereida Toledo. Brother-in-law of William Gaviria, Sr. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Hectors family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ability Beyond Disability for their love, care and compassion over the years.
The visiting hours will be Wednesday morning, August 16th from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Stanislaus Church, 9 Eld Street, New Haven at 11:00. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
