Helen D. Ksiazkiewlcz Soltys, 96, of North Haven passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the Hamden Health Care Center with her family by her side.  She was the beloved wife of 72 years to the late Stephen Martin Soltys.  Helen was born in New Haven on August 24, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Albert “George” and Rosalie Torba Ksiazkiewicz.  She had worked as a clerk for Gilden Jewelers for many years. Helen always was a very elegant woman who enjoyed dressing to the nines, she was very passionate about her home that her husband built with his own hands, and loved filling her home with family and friends where she would prepare many meals. Mother of Carolee Soltys. Grandmother of Robert (Kristine) Earle, Catherine Rossi and Cynthia (Robert) Pattison.  Great-Grandmother of Haylie, Brett, Taylor, Zachary, Matthew, Cameron and Johanna.  Sister of Joseph Sincavage, Mary Hamon and the late Stanley Sincavage, Thomas Sincavage and Victoria Talarczyk. Sister-in-law of Wanda Homa. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew.

Her funeral procession will leave the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue, Monday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Therese Church at 11:30 am.  Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Way, Memphis, TN 38105.
