Helen “Tootsie” Laurello Connor, 93, of North Haven formerly of Northford for many years passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late John Connor. Tootsie was born in New Haven on January 8, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Bartolomeo and Maria Russo Laurello. She attended Stone Business School and was a long time employee of the SNET Company where she served as a union representative. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Clement, Nicholas, Ralph, Joseph and Monsignor Bartholomew Laurello, Fay Miranda, Rose Silvestro and Mary Cubbellotti.
Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Monica Church on Monday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in Northford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica Church, 1321 Middletown Avenue, Northford, CT 06472. There will be no visiting hours. The North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue has been entrusted with the arrangements.
