The entire Boettger/Thompson family is in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. We are so deeply sorry for your loss. We loved Ilse, her wonderful stories of German traditions, and the blessing to be welcomed into her kitchen with her children and grandson to take part in the family tradition of Stollen-making. Even better than the making, was the eating of this delicious German Christmas treat with a good cup of coffee or tea. We will cherish fond memories of visits to our home by Ilse and her dear son Fritz during the holiday season to enjoy some Christmas biscotti, homemade eggnog and her Stollen as well as other Christmas cookies, as is our tradition to share. We will miss her deeply. We know that to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die and we find comfort in that and hope you do too. When we decorate our Christmas tree this and every year, we will be thinking fondly of Ilse and saying some prayers for her beloved family. xoxo Rest in peace dear Ilse. We are missing you all the way from Texas.
Please accept our condolences for the loss of your mother. We spent many years boating with Max and Ilse . We have a lot of good
memories. Ilse went with Max on the boat even though she was frightened of going out where she lost site of land.
Hope you are with Max in Heaven.
God be with you
