Ivan F. Rios Segui, 25, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, while stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY with the United States Army. Private First Class Rios Segui was an 11B Infantryman and was currently assigned to 1-26 Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team. Born September 5, 1996, in New Haven, Ivan was raised in both Connecticut and Puerto Rico.Ivan loved people and was a very social man who enjoyed making others smile. He loved marksmanship and would often go to the shooting range just to blow off a little steam. He spent a lot of his free time cruising around in his car and enjoying his favorite past time which was anime. He was a meme collector and loved to tell a good joke. Ivan was also very into American muscle cars. Other interests included swimming, fishing, and gaming.He is survived by his mother, Migdalia Segui Chico of New Haven; his father, Ivan F. Rios Heredia of Puerto Rico (former member of Puerto Rico Army National Guard); his wife, Gabriela Sanchez Aldaz of New Haven; his sisters Dalia Quinones and Leticia Rivera of Connecticut; his brother, Ricardo I. Rios Santos of Puerto Rico; his sister, Livannese Rios Santos of Puerto Rico; nieces Korina Defelice, Thalia Rowell, Nikko Rowell, Daleen Quinones, and Lucian R. Luciano of Connecticut, Aliani Rios Febus, Raishaly N. Narvaez Rios, and Deleishka K. Narvaez Rios of Puerto Rico; nephews Ricardo A. Rios Febus, and Robert N. Rios Febus of Puerto Rico; and brother-in-law, Denyz Rivera of Connecticut.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 from 4pm to 8pm at the Havens Family  North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10am,in the Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Ave, North Haven, CT 06473 with burial service to follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473.
