Jacques P. Schingh, 65, of North Haven, passed away peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital on Monday, February 12, 2018 with his family by his side. He leaves behind his lifelong soulmate of 43 years Constance Smith Schingh.  Jacques was born in Hull, Quebec, Canada on May 15, 1952 and was the son of the late Emery and Juliette Anderson Schingh.  He was an active member of the Church of the Resurrection in Wallingford where he served as a Eucharistic Minister and helped count church donations.  Jacques enjoyed playing golf with his wife in their league at Sleeping Giant golf course, cooking with family in their “Family Chopped Cook Offs”, cheering on University of North Carolina Men’s basketball team and most of all watching his grandchildren Landon and Weston Huggins whom he loved unconditionally.  He most recently worked as a credit manager for Osterman & Company.  Father of Brandon Schingh (fiancé Jamie Pinkussohn), Lauren Mauter (Ryan) and Christina Huggins (Robert).  Brother of Helene Schingh and Nicole Shimshock (Gene).

 Family and friends are invited to go directly to Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford on Friday morning at 11:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.  The visiting hours will be Thursday  from 4 to 8 pm at the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Closer to Free Fund, Smillow, P.O.
