James F. Kennedy, 48, of New Haven, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at his home. He was the beloved husband to the late Laura Garey Kennedy. James was born in New Haven on August 31, 1974 and was the son of Cynthia Benoit and the late Joseph Kennedy. He had worked in construction for many years, always very punctual and was willing and able to give a helping hand whenever he was needed. James enjoyed “swinging a wrench” and could fix anything. He was full of energy, truly a great person on the inside and out, James will be missed by all who knew him. Loving father of Angela Kennedy. Beloved brother of Deborah Rossi, Jacqualin (Devin) Schreyer and Johanna Kennedy. Also survived by his stepbrother Todd Burness, half-brothers Gary (Amanda) Hyrb, David Hyrb, many nieces and nephews.
The visiting hours will be on Thursday, November 17th from 4 to 8 PM at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A service will be conducted in the funeral home at 8:00. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions maybe made to American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492.
