Jane Tomasulo Nugent, 91, of Wallingford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert Nugent. Jane was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on July 31, 1930 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta Tomasulo. She had worked as a secretary for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for many years. Jane was a big fan of George Clooney and an avid sports enthusiast, especially watching UConn men and women’s basketball. She enjoyed cooking, trips to the beach, gardening, playing bridge, and shopping, mostly QVC shopping online. Jane and her twin sister Joan enjoyed tap dancing and were delighted to entertain their family and friends at parties and gatherings. Jane’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved unconditionally. She raised her family in Northford and had many life-long friends from there. Jane was fiercely independent right down to her last days and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Beloved mother of James (Elizabeth) Nugent, Pam (late James) Fromme, Karen (Anthony) Martone and Cynthia (Dane) Springer. Loving grandmother to Michael and Sarah Nugent, Jerod, Kyle, Abby and Brandon Fromme, Jackie, Tyler, Torrey, Gaby Martone and Patrick Springer. Great-grandmother of Lucas and Kayden Fromme and Conor Letten. Sister of Joan Mott and Michele McNabb.
The visiting hours will be Sunday, March 27th from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A brief service will be conducted in the funeral home at 3PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929.
