Jan was my only and favorite Aunt. Our relationship started when I was just a toddler. She used me as her “study” subject for child behavior when she was in college. I have fond memories of camping with her, my uncle and cousins, as a youngster and into adult hood . We traveled together to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty one month before 911. We had to rent a limo to get back to New Haven, because all the trains were not running. Our next adventure was our trip to the Holy Land and Jordan in 2001. She was a great travel companion. An experience in Christian history I shall never forget. I We didn’t see each other very often, since I moved to Florida. We stayed in touch by phone and Email. I enjoyed my visits with her when I traveled to Ct. Jan was truly a shining light in my life and I cherished our relationship. She is dearly missed, but I know I will see her again, when I am called Home to be with Our Savior, Jesus Christ. My thought and prayers are with my cousins, Jack and Joan and their families. To Jan “job well done, my faithful servant”. Your loving niece, Sue.
