Janice M. D’Anna Vann, 69, of Guilford, formerly of Northford for 48 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to Kevin Vann. Janice was born in Yonkers, New York on November 17, 1953 and was the daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Imrich D’Anna. She had worked as an assistant manager at Webster Bank for many years. Janice enjoyed traveling, especially on cruises, loved going in the pool and took many trips to the casino with girlfriends. She was a big fan of the New York Yankees, loved Christmas and collecting all different types of Santa Clauses. Janice also enjoyed exercising in the gym, going for walks, cooking, baking, and online shopping. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren who she loved unconditionally. Beloved mother of Kimberly Powell (Benjamin) and Meagan Vann (Martin Cruz). Loving Nini of Benjamin Jr., Carly, Brandon, and Olivia. Predeceased by her brother Edward D’Anna.
The visiting hours will be on Wednesday, Feb. 1st from 4 to 7 PM at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A celebration of Janice’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Yale Medicine Department of Neurology, 800 Howard Avenue, New Haven, CT 06519.

My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to all of Janice’s family and friends. Janice was such a loving person and I know I, and many others, will miss her greatly. We worked together for a number of years and became close friends who kept in touch by phone and occasional lunches. She loved her family and was so proud of her grandchildren. Janice loved her family and friends she would alway take the time to listen to anyone if you had something to say and always had a smile on her face she will greatly missed by everyone who knew her condolences to her husband Kevin and her daughters Kimberly and Megan and their families
I am sorry to hear of Janice’s passing. I worked with her and enjoyed sitting with her at our numerous Assistant Manager meetings. She always greeted me with a smile and was so easy to talk to. She was excellent at her job and built strong relationships with her customers. She will be greatly missed. My condolences to her family. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
This news breaks my heart. Janice was one of the most loving, loyal, supportive friends. She always spoke with a glow in her eyes of her children & grandchildren. I’m sending so much love. What a beautiful woman. Her light will be so missed.
