Jannie Eldridge Balogh, 95, of North Haven, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 with her family by her side. Born in New London, CT, on November 6, 1921, daughter of the late George Dewey Eldridge and Jennie Maddox Eldridge. She was the wife of the late Stephen Balogh and mother of Marilyn (Gene) Lohrs, Beverly DeGraaf, and Diane (Daniel) Signore, and stepmother of Dorothy Peccerillo. MaMa to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren. Predeceased by brother Edward Eldridge, sister Adeline Bogue Rogers, and stepson Dominic Balogh. She was a very special person to many, and loved to travel and read.
Funeral services will be conducted in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue on Saturday morning at 11:00. Family and friends may call from 10:00 until time of service. Interment will follow in the North Haven Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
