Jean T. Boryszewski Prusinski, 96, of Northford passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2017 at Yale New Haven Hospital/St. Raphael campus surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Philip F. Prusinski. Jean was born in New Haven on March 17, 1921.   She is survived by her two loving children Ellen Wasicki (Gery) and Paul Prusinski (Sue Petrucci)); two grandchildren Paul Tyler (Kristine) and David; two great-grandchildren Peyton & Tatum Prusinski.  During her professional years of employment she worked for Detroit Steel and also as a legal secretary for Tyler, Cooper, Grant, Bowerman & Keefe.  Jean was a very active women who enjoyed bowling, day trips and was a member of the Widow Widowers Club at St. Stephen’s Church, Hamden.  She was a devout catholic who attended St. Monica’s Church, Northford until she became homebound as to when she was visited every Sunday by the home ministry.  She was taken care of by two wonderful 24 hour at day caregivers.

Family and friends are invited to go directly to St. Monica’s Church, Northford on Thursday morning at 10:00 to attend a Mass of Christian burial and are also invited to attend the committal service immediately following in All Saints Cemetery.  The visiting hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm in the North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue.  Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica’s Church, 1331 Middletown Avenue, Northford, CT  06472.
